Heart defect surgical repair: The holes in the septal walls were patched. (ASD and VSD). A baffle was inserted connecting the Left Ventricle to the Aorta. The tricuspid valve was fixed at the same time as the VSD–with great care to not further damage the tissue cords responsible for opening the leaflets (the 3 parts that make up the tricuspid valve).
